Tandoor Cook responsibilities include:
• Must be able to prepare dough’s, breads and meats in the Tandoor
• Ensuring & maintain the quality in busy hours.
• Re-stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Dressing dishes before they are served
• Check quality of ingredients
• Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Plan menus, Ensure quality of food and portion control
• Follow safe food handling procedures at all times
• Follow recipes to the exact specifications
• Function as part of a team, support in all areas of the kitchen
• Complete prep lists to ensure enough products is available for service
• Keep the work area, utensils and production equipment in a clean, sanitized state at all times

At Baba Chicken, we are looking for a professional Tandoor Cook who can work under pressure and prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and keep the stations always clean and ready for menu preparation. Tandoor Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. You will be sure to make meaningful, career-enhancing connections and lifelong friends along the way.

Requirements
• Previous cooking experience, including experience as a Tandoor Chef, Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook in a full-service restaurant considered being an asset
• Candidate must have excellent understanding of different cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Energetic and accuracy speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Have an ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paces environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week
